What made Pathaan so Controversial?

After 2018 Shah Rukh Khan is back with a new film, “Pathaan” which is a spy action thriller film, produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. The story is written and directed by Siddnarth Anand. In the film Deepika Padukone and John Abraham is coming with their fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. The film is releasing on 25th January, 2023.



Pathaan will be the first Bollywood film of 2023. But before the success of the film it is in controversy for some reasons. On 12th December 2022 the first song “Besharam Rang” of Pathaan which lead to controversy starring Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan in the song. In which Deepika Padukone has worn saffron coloured bikini is hurting the religious sentiments of some people. Whereas the title of song is also hurting the religious sentiments which is “Besharam Rang” that means “Shameful Colour”. A sore point for these people as they are equating it to the saffron colour that Deepika wears in the song.

Many people came forward in the againt Pathaan movie but many fans are also in favour and eagerly waiting for the realease of the film. As the controversy has come under the Information & Broadcasting Ministry an advocate has also written letter againt Pathaan film song Besharam Rang.


Member of industry came forward to present their views. The controversy has become a debate for political parties which has become a highlighted part. How the people are reacting on the costumes of actor and actress they wore.
